Welcome to The New Site!

For the initial blog post on the new site, I just wanted to start off by welcoming all the new visitors.  Many of you have followed my training log and my Programming Forum over at StartingStrength.com.  I will continue to host the Programming Forum there, but having my own site will hopefully allow me to continually introduce new and helpful material in a little different format.

My goal for this site is to build a resource for real world, PRACTICAL strength and conditioning advice.  I have owned and operated Kingwood Strength & Conditioning since 2007.  And in that time, I have worked with hundreds of competitive athletes, lifters, and regular folks trying to get stronger and better conditioned.  I can’t get by with B.S. training methods or gimmicks that don’t work.  If my clients and athletes don’t get great results…..I don’t get paid!

Secondary to producing results, I have to be able to create programs and routines for people that work IN THE REAL WORLD.  My clients and athletes have careers, families, sports practices, travel, and other commitments that extend outside of the gym.  Sure, Sheiko programs work, but do you have 2-3 hours to commit to a training session?  I don’t.  We stick to the basics that have proven themselves over the decades, and we organize them into SIMPLE routines that yield consistent progress.

Ideally, I’d like to get 1 or 2 new posts up every week that provide useful and practical training information.  So keep checking back in for updates.  If you’d like some IMMEDIATE practical content, download the FREE PDF report above.  Its got some in depth information about 4 of my favorite assistance exercises.  How to do them, and how to program them.

Of course, if you are interested in a private consultation, I offer two different customized services that can get your training going in the right direction.  Just check out the Products and Services tab above.

Thanks for your support everyone!  Looking forward to getting this thing started!
